At a glance...

Individual
Psychotherapy

Finding a therapist you connect with is one of the single most important factors impacting your therapeutic outcome. We have over 20 experienced, licensed therapists with diverse skill sets. When you call to make an appointment, our office our intake coordinator will get to know you so she can help you find the right fit for what you need. If for any reason you're not satisfied with the therapist you meet, just let us know and we'll gladly refer you to someone different. All of our therapists want you to feel comfortable, even if that means helping you connect with someone else.

Couples
Therapy

Couples face more challenges than ever before in today's fast pasted society. The pressures of work, family, parenting, finances, changes in sex drive and breakdowns in communication can create feelings of resentment, disappointment and loneliness. Our therapists are trained to work dynamically with couples and help them navigate those challenges. In the office or on-line, couples work can help repair broken relationships, build trust, change negative, ineffective patterns, increase intimacy and improve communication.

On-line
Therapy

Navigating your busy schedule, struggling to find childcare, rushing from place to place to make your therapy appointment is now a thing of the past. Connecting with a licensed therapist is easier and more convenient than ever. Key Therapists are available to help you develop greater life management skills, reduce relationship conflict, process loss and trauma,  improve family function and communication, gain greater understanding, and increase your overall sense of well being.

Family
Therapy

Family therapy can be especially effective when dealing with complex situations such as divorce, blended families, child behavioral issues, sibling relationships and parent-child relationships. Working with multiple members of a family provides your therapist with insight into the patterns keeping your family system stuck and allows them to more effectively help you find solutions for a happier, healthier family life .

Unlock Your True Potential
Our Mission Statement

Key Therapy LLC is a counseling center comprised of experienced therapists working together to provide high quality, mental and emotional health treatment options for individuals, families, couples, adolescents and children.

After COVID and with the introduction of Telehealth, many group practices in our area expanded exponentially. At Key we made a conscious decision to focus on quality verses quantity. We kept our practice relatively the same size, but added important services that we saw were lacking in the communities we served. We have developed vibrant support groups for children ages pre-k through high school; we improved our play therapy space, equipment and access to specialty trained clinicians. We focused on developing our team to offer deeper trauma treatment options and now have more than 10 EMDR trained therapists working with all ages. We partnered with local schools to offer needed services, crisis intervention and parenting classes for families in need of added support. We added Functional Medicine for Mental Health to integrate the mind/body connection. AND, I am excited to share that we are now adding Equine Assisted Psychotherapy to our list of services, provided by licensed clinicians trained in EAP and with more than a decade of horsemanship experience.

It is our mission to not only serve the community, but to be a community. We hope that you will be part of it with us.

KEY Therapy is a teaching practice comprised of experienced, licensed therapists, clinical supervisors, therapy Interns and Licensed Associates. Our Intern/Associate therapists allow us to offer quality counseling at significantly lower costs to you. Interns and Associates are carefully screened and selected, often with extensive backgrounds in related fields, are of all ages, and have rich and diverse life experiences. Students begin their journey with Key from internship to post-graduate practice, and are with our organization for an average of 3 years or more, offering continuity of care and follow-through. All Interns/Associates are closely supervised and have access to a large variety of resources, advanced trainings, peer groups and other supports to help them develop and to ensure that you receive the best possible care.

What is the Difference between an Intern and an Associate?

An Intern is a student who is enrolled in a graduate program to become a licensed therapist, and who is completing their required therapy hours toward their degree. Interns have already completed advanced training and a practicum which is comprised of supervised therapy services offered through their educational institution. They are supervised, not only at our office each week, but also by licensed therapists who are educators in their prospective programs.

An Associate has already graduated with a Masters degree in a therapy program and has completed the internship hours required to apply for their Associate License. Associates will need to practice for 1-3 years, depending on their pace and program, in order to complete enough hours to apply for full licensure. Associates are supervised weekly by experienced, licensed therapists at their place of work.
