Laura has experience working with youth and their families in diverse settings. She is skilled in working with client's experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, lifestyle challenges, and with children exhibiting high-risk behaviors. Laura is trained to view the individual, family and couple through the relationship lens. Ultimately, our relationships impact our behaviors, thoughts and feelings and if we change how we interact with those closest to us, we will change how we think, feel and treat ourselves. Laura also believes in the importance of holistic treatment because a problem in one area of life can create ripples that impact other parts as well. She believes in the importance of empowering each person to make his or her own changes while developing the skills required in order to improve daily life and relationships. Laura often uses Structural and Strategic models of therapy as well as Solution- Focused Treatment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help relieve symptoms and improve self-esteem, allowing a person or family to achieve change and move forward.
